I threw this out there once with no response yet. Anybody in our area interested in having a get-together?

Don't give up! I'm the only person within 125 miles that is in this circle! Keep posting and get out and talk to folks. Go for it and it will happen!

Josef in Seattle, I live on the east side in Duvall and really want to be involved but I have been away from Seattle in MT for a long time and find I am terrified to drive on the freeways so I am limited to my area. I can do Woodinville, Monroe but not much further. If you can figure out a way for us to meet, I'm there but it could be a problem since I am so limited. Please let me know if you come up with a solution.

Monroe will be right on my way to Seattle. If we plan it out I'm sure we can make this all work :)

Maybe we can set a date a month or so from now. To give everyone time to plan it out. But I'm open to whatever works.

I am on vacation in Leavenworth for a week, the weekend of July 16 and 17 could be a date if people want to meet in the middle of Washington state? Otherwise a Sunday morning in Seattle is good for me. How bout July 24? Perhaps could couple this with another event going on so travelers from afar have a couple of things to do.

If I can find a ride, almost any day is fine with me. Am anxious to meet some of our group. July 24th sounds good if I can get my daughter to bring me or find another ride from the east side.

I could commit to a July 24 Seattle meeting. The big main library could be a possible meeting place. I'm not such a great organizer of venues though?

Well, hmmm....Realistically, it seems we are all really rather spread out. I wish everybody just lived in my neighborhood and we could all just meet at the Starbucks down the street! Maybe we could all just start some intense chatter here on this board first? Can I ask a question and see how many answer? Who has a copy of Michael Tellinger's book, Contributionism? I haven't got one. I've just absorbed hours of his videos.

You're question was over a year ago, but what the heck. I haven't read his book. I'm not too interested in the history of money, but I'm pretty ready to be done with reliance on money to survive. I feel very fortunate to have everything I need, but I can't enjoy it much when I see so many people suffering all around me. Would love to discuss Ubuntu Planet with anyone who's interested.
