Everything I do, I do for fun and enjoyment. I play guitar, a bit of bass, an even tinier bit of mandolin, hand drums, and other rhythmic things. I'd also like to develop my voice.

thats impressive, I developed a technique to play a single pratice pad like a drumkit, ideal for portable jamming without having to transport a large kit.. Solves the noise issues but increases fexibility and accuracy

Nice work Mat. I also build and repair vacuum tube instrument amplifiers, effects pedals, and repair and mod electric instruments. Let me know if you guys need a roady / tech when the FCP bad tours America. ;)

That sounds really interesting Patriot Girl, so I assume your practice pad is electronic and not just a rubber pad? I'd love to see how you play that...

No its a normal rubber topped practice pad. i use a combination of alternating beats which creats a drumkit feel. Itis hard to explain, but I use cretive visualisation to help me play. The technique has taken over a year to develop. I can also do cross sticking. I hope to be going to tommorows meeting about smart meters in washington. But that depends on my frined picking me up. If your going perhaps we can meet at the hall.

The only eltronic kit I would love to nave if I had the money would be a Roland TD 30 and to be able to afford drive again. :)
