Hi Kindred souls,

Welcome Claire, our new attendee to our group.

Our next JOINT Meet-up is on Friday May 6th from 7:30pm to 10:30pm in Downtown Toronto in the St. Lawrence Market area at Woodsworth Housing Co-operative 133 Wilton Street - Penthouse Party Room 9th floor Buzzer to allow access.

Thank you once again to Anne-Maree for arranging our meeting place. Here is an updated instructions/directions from Anne-Maree, our host for the evening:

"First, of all, my co-op is located between Jarvis St. and Sherbourne St., just a few yards south of The Esplanade at 133 Wilton St.

1). There is free parking available on the streets adjacent to the building:

George St., Frederick St., Wilton Street, and Henry Lane Terrace where you can park till 10 pm, only. After that, there is a really, really good chance that you will be ticketed if you do not move your car by that time. Ergo, you would have to keep that in mind and leave the meeting by about 9:50pm to avoid being ticketed.

2). There is, also, meter parking available on other streets where you just pay till pm and then after that no payment is required till the next morning.

3). At the south-east corner of Sherbourne and Front Sts. (about 2 min. from the co-op), there is a lot where you can pay a flat fee of $7.00 to park from 6pm till you chose to leave.

4. Over the past couple of weeks, a lot located just a little east of Sherbourne St. on The Esplanade, has opened up that is advertising 'FREE PARKING.' Apparently, this lot will be free until the end of the month (April) and after that, it will be available only for monthly permit parking. I don't know when or if this lot closes at night so that would be a chance that one would be taking if parking there.

5. Located on The Esplanade, WEST of Jarvis St., there is City 'P' parking available. I do not know how much is charged for parking there, though.

One last thought, when you enter the lobby of the co-op, at the top of the directory there is a button that says 'Penthouse' and immediately beside that the numbers 8888. Please key that number into the phone to ring the penthouse + someone will let you in."

Joint Meet-up Agenda: (a continuation from last meet-up on April 15th)

Group Meditation (~ 5 min)

decide which of the members would like to take turns to facilitate/direct the conversation of our Joint meet-up group: Someone to guide the conversation in useful directions. It would require the individual to have good listening skills, very sharp group awareness, and the ability to help people express their ideas. The facilitator would run the whiteboard, write down ideas as people come up with them, preventing people from interrupting each other, and giving the floor to quieter people who wouldn’t ordinarily find a way to contribute on their own. Or is there someone outside this group who we can bring in to direct these conversations.

continuation on what is the joint purpose(s) for our group (other than finding connection)? Is it activism, providing information to communities before and after 'the event', group therapy, meditation, etc.

what skills and talents do we have for this purpose(s) and how we can combine these?

decide on who would like to do a short presentation(s) at the next meet-up, in regards to the different groups represented at our meetings:

Full Circle Project

PFC - Prepare for Change and ; followed up with questions and answers

topics to discuss for the next Joint Meet-up

location and date of next meeting

Open/free sharing space time towards the latter part of the evening

We need all of your collaboration as we are all in the group to work together where everyone can contribute.

As noted in our last email we have decided to add an additional meeting for our group.

This additional Focused Prepare For Change Meet-up will focus on preparing for ‘The Event’.

The focus of the Focused PFC Meet-up is different from our usual “Joint Meet-up” (May 6th) although everyone who is currently attending our meetings is welcome to join. We are looking at having the Focused PFC Meet-up meeting on Wednesday May 11th, details to be sent out soon.

In the spirit of unification, cooperation and collaboration we are excited to have you all come out on Friday May 6 from 7:30pm to 10:30pm.

Thank you all for partaking in taking steps to individually change our world that works for everyone, in love and light <3 <3 <3

Looking forward to seeing you on Friday :) <3
